Already on Catalyst™? Add Agile EQ™ to the profile your people have.
Imagine your team took Everything DiSC Workplace® on Catalyst™ last year. People know their styles and use the language in meetings, yet when a deadline slips or a decision gets contested, the same reactions come back: one person pushes harder, another goes quiet, a third starts picking the plan apart. The Agile EQ™ Add-On builds on the insight your people already have and adds the next layer: how each person reads a tense moment and chooses the response it calls for.
Who can add itLearners who already have an Everything DiSC Workplace® on Catalyst™ profile, from the Base Experience or the Base Experience with Management. Agile EQ™ is added to that learner's existing profile on Catalyst™: no extra assessment questions, and the learner's downloadable PDF report includes the new section.
Self-awareness is the start. Emotional agility completes it.
Your people already understand themselves and each other through Everything DiSC Workplace®. Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™ takes that insight further, into how people choose to respond when the pressure is on. Together they give every person the language to talk about differences and the flexibility to adjust in the moment, not just in reflection.
Better responses under pressure
People learn to choose a more valuable response, even when stress or a deadline pulls them toward their default.
Faster recovery from conflict
Teams move past friction sooner, with more thoughtful interactions when tension rises.
One shared language
Everyone sees how their default style shapes communication and working relationships, and has the words to talk about it.
Strategies people use right away
Learners leave with mindset strategies they can apply immediately, in any role or situation.
What beta participants said
In Wiley's beta of Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™, 93% of participants rated their overall experience as satisfied or very satisfied, 95% rated their engagement as engaged or very engaged, and 92% said they'd definitely or probably use what they learned at work.
THE ADD-ON · EVERYTHING DiSC® AGILE EQ™
Most teams know how they react. Few know how to shift.
Imagine you are in a tense planning meeting. Your instinct is to push harder; a colleague goes quiet; a third person starts picking the plan apart. Each reaction makes sense from where that person sits, and none of them moves the meeting forward. Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™ helps people recognize when their go-to responses, such as detaching, controlling, or avoiding, no longer serve them, and shows them how to shift toward more valuable responses, such as empathy, self-assurance, or collaboration.
An introduction to Agile EQ™: how people read a situation and choose the response the moment calls for.
How DiSC® styles shape the way people use emotional intelligence at work.
1
EQ is agility
Emotional intelligence is the agility to read the emotional and interpersonal needs of a situation and respond accordingly.
2
There are many ways to be emotionally intelligent
Some come naturally to you. Others are more of a stretch.
3
No style has more EQ
No DiSC® style is inherently more emotionally intelligent than any other.
4
Your EQ is not fixed
Developing it gives you the flexibility to adapt your responses to a wide range of situations and challenges.
Eight mindsets around the DiSC® circle
Each part of the DiSC® circle is associated with different EQ strengths, called mindsets. No mindset is more valuable than another: the situation decides which one is right. Each learner's profile shows the mindsets that likely come naturally to them and the ones outside their comfort zone.
Tap a mindset to see what it means:
The Dynamic mindset
Initiating action on your ideas, influencing people, and projecting a strong social presence.
Often a natural strength for: D and i styles
The Outgoing mindset
Establishing and maintaining relationships and expressing your emotions and unfiltered thoughts to others.
Often a natural strength for: i style
The Empathizing mindset
Reaching out with compassion, seeking to understand people's emotional needs and struggles, and being supportive.
Often a natural strength for: i and S styles
The Receptive mindset
Staying open to others' ideas and being willing to compromise or set aside your own needs and preferences.
Often a natural strength for: S style
The Composed mindset
Reflecting before acting, moderating your responses (even under stress), and exercising diplomacy.
Often a natural strength for: S and C styles
The Objective mindset
Separating facts from emotions and keeping the discussion focused on logic.
Often a natural strength for: C style
The Resolute mindset
Standing your ground in the face of opposition, speaking up about problems, and pushing through any resistance.
Often a natural strength for: C and D styles
The Self-Assured mindset
Asserting your opinions and rights, projecting confidence in your ideas and abilities, and taking charge of situations.
Often a natural strength for: D style
What powers each mindset
Behind every style's EQ strengths are psychological needs: progress and control for some people, harmony and reassurance for others. The poster shows the needs of each style around the DiSC® circle. Each learner's profile includes an EQ snapshot that names their own.
What the Agile EQ™ section of the profile covers

REAL INTERACTIVITY
Where Everything DiSC® on Catalyst™ truly shines
Catalyst™ turns self-understanding and understanding of others into tools people use, in a practical and visual way. Learners come back to it in the moments that matter: before a meeting, when a new person joins, or when a project team gets stuck.
Your Colleagues
Pick any colleague and see your two styles side by side: what you have in common, where you are likely to misread each other, and tips for working together. Learners use it before a first meeting, a handover, or a difficult conversation.
Your Groups
Put any set of people on one map and see the group's style mix at a glance. Conversation Starters then give the group prompts for getting to know each other, making decisions together, and communicating clearly.
Group Continua
See where each member falls on spectrums such as logic versus feelings, or realities versus possibilities. The group spots its natural tilt and the perspectives it tends to leave out when it decides.
Get Advice
Ask for advice on a real situation, such as building a relationship, working through a tension, or getting buy-in, and receive tips written for your style and the other person's.
Learner privacy
Learners who prefer not to share their style can opt out from the Privacy tab in Catalyst™ and change the setting at any time.

HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, and the fourth is where the value is
1
Order and set up
Order the add-on for the learners you need. Symphony 100 adds the credits to your administrator account on Catalyst™, or sets one up, so you are ready to invite people.
2
Tell your learners why, then invite them
People engage when they know the reason. Communicate with your learners through the platform before they start:
why the organization is doing this, and what the team session will look like
when to open the new section of their profile, and how it builds on what they already know about their style
who will see their results, and how learner privacy works
From your administrator account you can see who has completed the assessment, and send reminders and notices to those who haven't.
3
Each learner explores their Agile EQ™ results
Learners open the Agile EQ™ section of their profile on Catalyst™: their EQ strengths, the mindsets beyond their comfort zone, and the steps to develop them.
4
Gather the team
This is the step that turns individual insight into a team that works better together. In a facilitated session, the team shares styles, motivators and stressors, and agrees how it wants to work. Choose who facilitates below.
How big a group? There is no minimum. Groups of 10 to 12 participants work best: everyone has time to take part and stay engaged. Larger groups are possible, but the value for each person goes down as the group grows. Alone or in pairs, learners lose the chance to apply the group and team concepts right away.
THE REAL VALUE
Bring your team together
“The true value of Everything DiSC® comes from bringing the team together. It is not just about learning about yourself. It is about learning about others: people you know, people you don't know, and people you don't know yet. Understanding what motivates and stresses people, with a basic understanding of style underneath, can make all the difference in the world. It also gives everyone a communication tool to talk about it and be on the same page.”
Frank November, Founder & CEO, Symphony 100
Every organization and every team is different. Consider which approach fits your needs; our in-and-out review of the options compares running sessions with your own facilitators, with Symphony 100, or as a partnership of both.
Facilitate in-house
Everything DiSC® on Catalyst™ Practitioner Experience
Everything an internal facilitator needs to run the sessions: facilitation content, tools, resources, and know-how on Catalyst™. Facilitator and Group Culture Reports are included.
Anyone who facilitates should also consider Everything DiSC® Certification: training and certification from Wiley, the publisher of Everything DiSC®, in interpreting profiles and leading sessions with confidence. It comes with the certification course and the other items a facilitator needs.
The Base Experience with Agile EQ™ workshop package
Four live, interactive sessions led by a certified Everything DiSC® practitioner, covering Everything DiSC® Fundamentals, Everything DiSC Workplace® and Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™ on Catalyst™. All-inclusive: the assessments and profiles on Catalyst™ are part of the package.
Not ready for a full program? Start with the Everything DiSC Workplace® profile and a 90-minute live introduction. It covers a few pieces of what Workplace® offers and gives your team a real taste of the possibilities. It also works for an individual learner.
Two optional reports turn the team's individual profiles into a picture of the group. Each has a different job.
