The Five Behaviors® Facilitation Kit covers both Personal Development and Team Development. Both programs are based on Patrick Lencioni's international best-seller The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, and Wiley adapted Lencioni's model into scalable, personalized learning experiences.
The Facilitation Kit provides everything a facilitator needs to bring the programs to any organization and facilitate the programs successfully, and the learning experience can be easily customized. Personal Development or Team Development
Personal Development
Teaches individuals to become better teammates. Participants learn the critical behaviors and interpersonal skills needed to be an effective team player on any team.
- Learners
- Any employee at all levels of an organization, including managers and team leaders. Ideal for large teams, cross-functional teams, matrixed teams or departments. Flexible group size.
- Facilitation
- Fully scripted, in person or virtual, and customizable to fit specific goals or timeframes.
- Reports
- An individual profile, and a Comparison Report that compares the learner's results with a colleague's.
Team Development
Transforms intact teams through the model of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results. The assessment is powered by Everything DiSC®, so participants also learn their own DiSC® style and the styles of their teammates.
- Learners
- Small to medium-sized intact teams of 5 to 12 people, with a minimum tenure of six weeks.
- Facilitation
- Team Development runs over an extended period of time. Fully scripted, in person or virtual, and customizable to fit specific goals or timeframes. Includes annotated facilitator reports.
- Reports
- An individual profile with the team's results on each behavior, a Progress Report that shows how the team's performance has changed over time, and Comparison Reports for any two participants.
A guide, not a stopwatch. The scripted facilitation is a guide that facilitators adapt: to the group, to the schedule, and to the teamwork challenges the organization faces.

Built on The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
Patrick Lencioni introduced the model in his best-selling book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Wiley then adapted Lencioni's model into a scalable training program with a research-validated assessment and a personalized profile for each participant.
The model is simple and sound: Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results. A participant does not need a background in psychology to understand the model, and participants can start using the model in the next meeting they attend.
